ICGEE 2024
The 2nd International Conference on Geosynthetics and Environmental Engineering was
successfully held in Busan, South Korea on April 19-20. Scholars from all over the world gathered
together to conduct research and discussion in a strong academic atmosphere. The conference covered
many fields such as the application and sustainability of geosynthetics, civil and structural
engineering, and environmental engineering and science. The conference was supported by many
well-known domestic and foreign universities and research institutions such as Inha University,
Geosynthetics Institute of America, University of Texas at Austin, Sun Yat-sen University,
Polytechnic University of the Philippines, University of Raman, Fuzhou University, and Zhejiang
University.

Assoc. Prof. Haoliang Wu from Sun Yat-sen University, China delivered his keynote speech titled "Advanced Insights into the Mechanical Characteristics and Microscale Design of Carbonated MgO-based Engineered Cementitious Composites (ECC)"
Prof. Haijian Xie from Zhejiang University, China delivered his keynote speech titled "Applications of Geosynthetics in Cover Systems for Contaminated Sites"
Prof. Song Feng from Fuzhou University, China delivered his keynote speech titled "Effects of Vegetation and Microbe on Methane Emissions from Municipal Landfills: Theory and Practices"
Best Paper Award of ICGEE 2024
Paper ID: 66, Xiaohua Lin's paper titled "Investigating the Hydrological Impacts of Land Use and Climate Factors on a Large Mixed Watershed" won the Best Paper Award after a careful decision by the conference Chair.
